The Media Artists Fellowships program was shaped by the belief that providing funding for production, although essential, is not the only way to support media artists and the independent media. In addition to providing Fellowships, Renew Media promotes the artists and their projects. The Renew Media staff works with curators, programmers and distributors in the United States and abroad to program and/or distribute work by the Fellows. Renew Media maintains this website and publishes books and newsletters profiling the Fellows and their projects. Staff also provides expertise, advice and resources concerning exhibition or distribution possibilities, proposal writing and referrals to additional funding sources.
