Susana Aikin and Carlos Aparicio’s documentary The Salt Mines, which explores the daily lives of three Latino transvestites supporting their drug addiction through prostitution on Manhattan's streets, screened this summer as part of Exit Art’s Homomuseum Video Program.

Susana Aikin and Carlos Aparicio directed an episode of the PBS documentary series The New Americans, which follows four years in the lives of a diverse group of contemporary immigrants and refugees as they make the move to America. The series was included in the Council on Foundations’ Film and Video Festival this spring.
