He has received the Documentary Prize from the New York Underground Film Festival, the Innovation Award at the Chicago International Documentary Film Festival, the Narrative Integrity Award at the Ann Arbor Film Festival, the Jurors Choice-First Prize at the Black Maria Film & Video Festival, and the Gold Prize at the Big Muddy Film Festival in Illinois, among others. He is a co-founder of extremelowfrequency, a digitally based micro-distributor of radical cinema and culture.

the Museum of Modern Art in New York in May. Interview What do you do when you get stuck? I almost always scan the bookcases and do a little reading, though almost never about film. Mostly history or political theory and a lot of Brecht. I try to remind myself of the bigger picture. And if that doesn't work, I play a game or two of Donkey Kong. My current high score is 108,500, which is pretty good. |
